Prop 19, the Cali initiative to decriminalize the possession of up to an oz and allow 25 square feet of plants for recreational use, was overturned last tuesday. This is a sad day in Cali history.
Just got keep on fighting. Yes, prop 19 lost, but the mere fact that it was on the ballot is incredible. And in all reality 56 to 44 is not a huge difference.
There was still a lot that many people wanted to be different about the prop too though right? I heard many people who smoke were even upset about it even if it did pass.
Erroneous Maximus said... Well I for one expected it to sink. So while it is sad, I think it should be a wake up call for when it comes around again to go out and VOTE.
Hey hey now, at least it's decriminalized in small quantities. Have to walk before you run. The majority of the people opposed to such a measure were either elderly, or the sort of people who think the world is 6,000 years old.
Man when I heard about this it sucked. Hopefully they will legalize it in the near future!
ReplyDeleteI knew it was too good to be true =(
ReplyDeleteSad day indeed. :( I was so optimistic
ReplyDeleteIts more fun when its illegal anyway.

ReplyDeleteI can't believe this bullsh#t.
ReplyDeleteUgh, seriously
ReplyDeleteThis really does suck. I live in B.C. Canada, and it that prop passed, our weed prices would have gone down.
ReplyDeleteit's really a shame though for Californians, it will be years before they get the chance to vote for legalization again.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I LOVE DRUGS
ReplyDelete:( sad for you cali
ReplyDeleteCalifornia doesn't know what they're missing. Legalization has almost no downsides.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately it got a lot of votes against from current growers who want to keep making money.
ReplyDeleteAlways next year though, right? I mean, its not like there arent still potheads around.
ReplyDeleteJust got keep on fighting.

ReplyDeleteI'm not a weed smoker, but it's still more effort than it's worth to make it illegal. Much love.
